بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
A Seven-Stage Journey of the Soul
Every child is born upon Fitrah — a pure, natural disposition tilted towards its Creator. What follows is a process: the eyes and ears feed the mind, the mind shapes the tongue, the tongue conditions the heart, and the heart produces every action. Understand this flow, and you understand the true formula by which a soul attains success in both worlds.
"So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. The Fitrah of Allah upon which He has created all people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion."
— Ar-Rum 30:30The Prophet ﷺ said: "No child is born except upon Fitrah, then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian."
— Sahih al-Bukhari 1358From the very first day, the environment begins shaping the soul. Parents, family, friends, screens, and culture — each leaves an imprint. The true formula for success is therefore the conscious work of choosing what reaches us, before it silently becomes who we are.
From senses → to belief → to action → to success
Guard the gates, and you guard the heart. Guard the heart, and you guard the deeds.
Each stage flows into the next. Break any link and the chain weakens; tend to every link and the formula completes itself.
Allah created us with eyes and ears — the first gateways through which the world enters the soul. Every image we see and every sound we hear is a seed planted in the heart.
"And Allah has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts that you may give thanks."
— An-Nahl 16:78What we consistently see and hear becomes the raw material of our thoughts. The mind cannot think about what it has never been exposed to — our inner conversation is shaped by our outer intake.
"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding — who remember Allah while standing or sitting or lying on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth."
— Aal-'Imran 3:190-191What dominates the mind eventually leaves the tongue. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Verily, a man may utter a word pleasing to Allah without giving it much importance, and Allah raises him by it many degrees." Speech is the mirror of thought.
"Not a word does he utter except that there is a watcher by him, ready to record it."
— Qaf 50:18Over time, our recurring thoughts and words harden into convictions — what we trust, what we fear, what we love. This is the heart's foundation. A heart filled with light produces light; a heart filled with noise produces restlessness.
"Truly, in the body there is a piece of flesh which, if it is sound, the whole body will be sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body will be corrupt. Verily, it is the heart."
— Sahih al-Bukhari 52Actions are the fruit of belief. We do not act on what we merely know — we act on what we truly believe. Therefore every action a person performs is a quiet confession of what their heart actually holds dear.
"Actions are but by intentions, and every person will have only what they intended."
— Sahih al-Bukhari 1, Muslim 1907Righteous actions, performed sincerely and consistently, become the means by which a servant earns the pleasure of Allah. When Allah is pleased with a servant, every other concern fades — for His pleasure is the greatest of all rewards.
"Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is the great attainment."
— Al-Ma'idah 5:119When Allah is pleased, He places success into every condition of the believer's life — Hayatan Tayyibah, a blissful life in this world, and an everlasting abode in the Hereafter. This is the Best of Both Worlds — the true Formula for Success.
"Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while being a believer — We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do."
— An-Nahl 16:97What we see and hear shapes what we think and speak. What we think and speak shapes what we believe. What we believe is revealed in our actions. Sincere actions earn the pleasure of Allah — and His pleasure produces success in every condition. This is the true formula for success.
